  • What is the value of an MBA?

The value of an MBA, especially from an AACSB-accredited university program, is threefold: gaining skills, empowering perspective, and enabling opportunities. All three of these are direct benefits of the enormous and worthwhile undertaking that is earning an MBA.

The advanced material provides students with the opportunity to learn new skills, enhance those they already possess, and put them into practice through cases and other assignments. This added perspective on additional fields empowers the student to better communicate with those groups in their organization, with their clients, and all with whom they collaborate to achieve success.

  • Why did you start teaching?

After filling in for a colleague who worked as an adjunct at a local university teaching marketing, I found I greatly enjoyed it. Also, I realized to do it right, I could not just teach as a "side thing," but needed to earn my PhD so I could bring my students the benefits of both grounded experience and the latest developments in the field.

"The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch and Jeffrey Zaslow

  • Tell us something interesting about yourself that your students might not know.
